Vehicles

Vehicles are the fleet assets assigned to carry out orders. Each vehicle record stores physical details, capacity specifications, real-time location, and links to the driver, maintenance schedules, and connected devices (GPS, OBD-II, cameras, sensors).

Capacity & Payload

Payload capacity (weight and volume) is used by the Orchestrator to prevent over-allocation. When an order's entity weights or volumes exceed the remaining capacity, the vehicle is skipped in the allocation run.

Real-time Tracking

Vehicle position is updated via:

  • Telematics device — hardware modem installed in the vehicle, providing continuous GPS updates
  • FM Mobile app — driver's phone location when no hardware device is present

Live positions are broadcast to the fleet map in real time.

Fleet Assignment

Assign vehicles to one or more Fleets to scope them within Orchestrator runs, filter them in the orders list, and group them in the Scheduler calendar.
